How do you know
the electrical equipment in your
building is safe?
The Electricity at Work Act, 1999
places a responsibility on all
employers and businesses to keep
the electrical systems in their
building safe and to prevent serious
harm or death to the users of their
building.
But did you know that it also
covers any and all electrical equipment
of any type in your building?
Some organisations ask their site
manager to acquire a CLAIT qualification
so that they can use an electrical
testing machine. But ask yourself
these questions:
Unless
YOU’d previously
worked as an electrician or had
extensive electrical experience,
would YOU be happy being given
the responsibility for ensuring
the electrical safety of a whole
host of different types of electrical
equipment including washing machines,
drills, videos and televisions?
What about IT equipment where doing
the wrong test can supply a voltage
to the equipment that can destroy
the motherboard or wipe the memory
chips?
We can help.
Our qualified electrical service
engineers will do the testing for
you, do all the necessary tests
and provided the results in a clear
and concise way that enables you
to conform to the electrical regulations
and legislation and allows you
to concentrate on the strategic
decision of if and when any of
your equipment needs repair or
replacement. |
